Cmon. With that type of bravado attitude in high school, it was obvious that he wouldn’t even finish out running for his team in university before he bagged it. Guys like that don’t last. If anything, a heavy dose of humility will serve the guy well down the road in life.

why root on his downfall?

I'm actually impressed he is still showing up. He's had several bad races, there's no denying that. A lot of kids would have transferred or quit by now.

Honestly I was pretty surprised he didn't transfer after last year but he definitely will this year.

I am baffled at how bad this kid has become. Hopefully he's at least enjoying college and drinking/partying a ton. That's gotta be the only excuse.

I don’t believe that he was doping. As someone else mentioned, some just peak in high school. His best days are probably in the past. He looked like a grown man already when he was in high school. Normally those that are physically mature that early don’t have a high top end.

I once had someone on this site tell me “Cade Flatt is better than you’ll ever be, you have no room to criticize him”

He most definitely isn’t faster than me nor like 40-50% of D1 800m guys and my exact prediction that his high ego and poor attitude will derail his college career when he goes against people as talented as him seems to hold up.

I don't wish bad performances on anyone, but I love hearing noting but silence from the people who were propping this kid up 24 months ago.

Is this the same guy who all the fanboys said was a better prospect than Will Sumner? He might have his hands full with Athing Mu at this rate.
