Olympic track star Syndney McLaughlin-Levrone sports 2 gold medals for the USA, and points to her faith for sustaining her through the trials and triumphs of...
the only thing interesting about her is how UNinteresting she is. Amazing athlete. everything else is just cardboard. hope she is living the happy and fulfilled life that she currently portrays. it's really all that matters.
Sydney and Athing live in LA, and there are a ton of meets in LA area. There are even meets at UCLA, where they train, that they could enter. And they don't even do that.
Did you guys know that both Sydney and Athing went to the Mt SAC Relays last year but didn't run? They hung out for a while, took some photos with fans, then went home.
This is what happens when you stop thinking of yourself as an athlete and start thinking of yourself as a "brand." She doesn't want to dilute the brand.
I mean she is obviously one of the greatest talents the sport has ever seen. Just an incredible athlete. But two things can be true at once and while this is definitely the case, she is also a complete and utter nutcase. Some might say you have to be in order to be that good - maybe, but at the end of the day it's just sport and one day it will end. She is crazy.
Be fair, bro. Mu has had only one (1) year in which she didn’t race regularly, and that was last year when she was going through a lot in her personal life. Give her a break.
It's the non-stop religious stuff that has me changing the proverbial channel whenever Sydney is in the media now.
She is young and young in her faith. Young people tend to be passionate about their passions. That's the beauty and purview of being young. She will need her faith to sustain her when she looses on the world's biggest stage. I hope it doesn't happen, but life can be a crapfest at times. I wish her well, whatever she decides to do.
You people constantly bellyache over her. It's weird that.

That's true. But when Mu raced a lot that was with different coaches. But now Mu is with Bobby Kersee, so I don't see her racing much this year either.

Sydney an Athing don’t realize it now , but Bobby has control issues and it’s a shame for those two women

Good point, bro. If she doesn’t race much this year either, then I believe the blame should be on Bobby. Most people here don’t hate BTC athletes for not racing much because they correctly direct their disapproval at Jerry. It should be the same with Bobby.

Kersee has never coached 800 meter athletes until Mu.
I was impressed that he increased her strength last year, specifically how she was able to compete to the line with Hiltz in the 1500.
What he seems to not realize is that 800 meter athletes typically need 6-7 800 races under their belt in a season before they will hit their peak. She needs to come out swinging when outdoor season starts or she will not be at her peak for Moraa and Hodgkinson in Paris. The 800 requires racing to prepare!

Syd used to race more often when she was coached by Hayes.
