In NJ. The recreational market is extremely over priced and the quality is terrible. Governor Murphy refuses to allow home grow to keep the big companies like Curaleaf in control. There are so many rec dispensaries popping up and they all have the same garbage product. The legacy black market still going strong.

We’ve been legal since 2016, so not recent.
I can buy an OZ of top shelf for $80 and 6g or wax for $100.
But I just grow mine.

Even here in California we still have black market. Seems like a majority of delivery services are fly-by-night stuff.
But the sanctioned shops are great. Lots of competition and deals every weekend.
Legalization didn't change a thing. The same low life vermin smoke, vape, and use THC to escape their daily worthless existence.
In high school, they were called dirtbags. Seems appropriate, Now, they are just called unemployed, SSI dependant, Trump supporters, etc.
Just lowlife POSs for sure. lol @ the stupid dirtbags...
it smells everywhere.
im a non smoker and im glad its legalized but the smell everywhere is starting to get to me. its aggressive.
I was against legalization and to be honest I haven’t noticed a difference. I am also in the preschool age of parenthood so don’t get out.

I have never and never will try Marijuana
Ooo, ooo, that smell, can't you smell that smell............ It's just so smelly some places! Streets, parking garages, elevators, just outside of restaurants and bars. I'm not against it, but man it stinks.

is it that bad tho?
1. It smells everywhere. You can go in a parking lot and it smells as you walk outside from you car to the inside of the store.
2. it smells in stores.
3. Kids come to school smelling like weed. There textbooks and book bags have strong odors of weed.
4x It smells in the cars they get out of.
4. more and more younger kids are smoking it and bringing it into schools.
They legalized shrooms in my state yet there is still grey area before they provide state-sponsored facilities for the trip to take place.
I am not against the usage but the thing that gets me is these Gen Z kids are tripping everyday, every week. This is something my friends and I wouldve planned out for a concert or camping trip. Not just on a whim trip b@lls.

Sounds like NJ in general
Toronto - weed has been federally legal for +5yrs. You notice the smell, but you also see drunk people staggering out of bars at lunch ,which is more of a life lesson for kids. A few studies have found that use among high schoolers has dropped, as the black market is only 1/3rd of the total market now.
Shroom stores are everywhere although they are not legal (yet). Again no big societal meltdown.
Narcan is everywhere, which is saving lives. I'd strongly suggest kids stick to legal highs, as there is now stuff that is 50x fentanyl and doesn't show up on fentanyl test strips. It’s pretty rad.

This. This is no joke. Used to live in IL and it literally smells everywhere. Homelessness is at an all-time high too. Is it just because of weed…no. But I can guarantee it doesn’t help. There nothing positive about getting your populace drunk and high.
I also don’t think people realize what the legalization of “drugs” has done to the street/black market. One word, fentanyl.
California. I don't but some friends do. The weed shops are over priced and charge tax and rarely is the quality better than their usual source.
Don’t need government telling me what Not to do in my private life
Ohio has legalized weed, and I voted for it. I have never done weed, and I don't intend to, but I lean toward freedom for people, so if adults want to smoke or eat the wacky weed, more power to them. And before one of you crazy gun nuts asks me about guns, yes, I think people should be allowed to own guns...just not every kind of gun or at ages below 21 (miltary should raise minimum age to 21, OR all age restrictions should be lowered to 18).
Do I believe in restrictions for freedoms? Yes. Under 21 should not be allowed to partake based on current age-related restrictions. Can't grow and sell it yourself. Must be taxed and regulated.
I have not noticed any increased usage. I don't smell it in the neighborhood or when out and about.
I spent a good part of my early 20s smoking weed all the time, but haven’t touched it in over 20 years. The libertarian in me is content it is legal, but I think it is loserish to use it. I wasted a lot of time with it.
As a runner, it is striking how often a car drives by and you smell it. I have never heard of anyone getting an OUI for weed, but I suspect it does make drivers marginally less attentive, if only because people are fumbling around with it.
Bigger issue is that all the millennials and Gen Z types that whine about not being able to afford to buy a house, want their student debts erased, and can’t keep down a job for more than a couple years at a time seem to embrace wasting a lot of their money, energy and time on weed. It’s not a good product for people that are underperforming in life.
