Yea not a big deal to Americans. He has run 3:33 1500m, 3:52 mile and 7:52 3k all before his 18th birthday. He has run faster than any USA high school athlete ever. He could run 3:31 this summer.

And he got checked really badly by McSweyn in the final 100m or he might have won and would certainly have gone at least 0.5s faster.
my guy, did you watch the same race? how could Stewie check him from the front? Myers had no room to pass and ran onto Stewie and possibly clipped him a bit, there was no checking.
He's an incredible talent, but still when we see pros who train with pros in other countries running faster times than any of our high schoolers (Laros under our 800/1500 hs records, same with Jakob, same with Myers, same with multiple Kenyans, though who knows which ones are the age they say?), our first thought need not be how amazing these guys are but why our system has these artificial and counter-productive age-group training and competition limits.

Elliott and Snell were grown up men who trained professionally for years. How is it possible that a 17 years old kid can run much faster than both of them?

I mean maybe, but it’s an indisputable fact that US high schoolers are running faster and in deeper numbers than ever. I’m sure some could benefit from the club/pro setup, but it’s not like Laros/Myers type phenoms are straight up being missed in the US.

Why do Kenyans even need to use EPO when their haemoglobin levels are already maximized through adaptation and achilles length? I prefer to rely on the scientific method than popular assumptions from the weak minded.

rekrunner can't get his facts correct, the Andorran record was set last year. It's always the same.
