    I was just going to sit down and watch this.

    You know, that film about a talented individual, who was inspirational to those around him.

    He was surrounded by an organisation that thought greatly of him.

    He, however had devastating, incriminating insider knowledge of what was going on, and by who.

    He would never have been allowed to leave this organisation, because of the knowledge he had of who was behaving unlawfully....

    It would never have been allowed to come to light.

    I cringe every time the narration says (Paraphrasing) It was 500 yards, nearly half a mile.

    So sad when a wrong person gets a life sentence in prison by mistake. But Dufresne sure touched many lives, by building a library and helping people get their GED during prison time

    Great to see he found a way to escape. 19 years is crazy long for being in prison by mistake

    We don't know for sure that he was wrongly imprisoned. They imply that someone else committed the crime, but they don't actually show it happen.

    Of course the bad guy is a Christian. You'd never see the bad guy be any other religion.
