Mohamed Katir was in excellent early season form at the Meeting de l'Eure in Val-de-Reuil! Re-live his victory in the mile!SUBSCRIBE to our channel for the b...
Does Mo feel like that guy every generation who is just phenomenal but came along at the wrong time? I recall he has some 2nds and 3rds at world meets. He is only 25 though. Watch out with jacob hurt, Josh on the mend.
I don't believe he was ever on WR pace. Weren't the pace lights set a t 3:49? Anyway, he looked good through 3/4, but couldn't maintain on the last lap when he meant to be kicking faster.
I'm sure he'll finish the season with better fitness than he had for this.
Goodness me, he looks incredibly tired and weak for the high-flying reputation he boasts at the 1500m, mile, 3000m and 5000m. It also seems like it's nervous system exhaustion to me, which is excessive anthropogenic RF and EMF exposure wherever he lives and trains at, rather than a case of lack of training or conditioning. His body and his rhythm is just lackadaisical.....
And people think Katir is dirty. GTFO looked like me when I subbed 4 1500 for first time.
Indeed Mo Katir looks like a mortal man in this race. I'm shocked he only ran 3:52 and couldn't even follow the wavelights which was supposed to aid him? Not to mention supershoes and doped track surface lol!
Katir is done as a 1500m/miler. I know he was pulled to a 3:28.9 by Jakob at Bislett last year, but apart from that, his performances have been underwhelming since his bronze at the World Championships in 2022. He'd be better off concentrating on the 5000.
do they set the lights exactly even, or do they set them at desired splits? It looked like the lights had a finishing kick there, though really Katir just slowed down.
If the lights had been set just a bit slower, and then kicked, that might have given Katir a better shot.
What if these lights got taken over by a hacker who messed with the pace? That would be hilarious to see

He has a tough time in a championship setting because his change of gears/speed is lacking. That doesn’t play well in the rounds at all. Even in Oregon where he medaled, he was hundredths from being bounced in the rounds. On the circuit, he will be OK because the races are so fast. The championship 5,000 plays much better to his strengths. His best distance by time is probably 3,000, with his best championship distance being 5,000.
As far as this race, reminds me a little of Jakob running 3:32 last year while aiming for 3:30. Looks like he’s lacking some sharpness, and just died a bit. Nothing to really be alarmed by.
