Serious. People call her a trailblazer, but I don’t know. She also had a navigator (a dude) who crashed with her. I never heard of the poor b@stard until today. No one gives a damn about him.
That’s the point. If a driver runs out of gas, we point and laugh at them for being stupid. A plane crash is far more serious, but doesn’t running out of gas make Earhart totally incompetent?

She probably could only have just enough gas to get to her destination. Otherwise the plane would be too heavy. Then bad weather might have caused the plane’s fuel efficiency to drop. Several contributing factors adding up to horrible luck.
This is why we need solar planes! Planes with wings made out of solar panels that do not need fuel. The big oil companies are responsible for Earhart's death. If they would have taken global warming seriously 100 years ago, she would have finished her journey.

Wouldn't you be better posting on some MGTOW/ incel site?
In 1937 Amelia Earhart was one of the most famous women on the planet. For the last decade she had been upending stereotypes, smashing records and establishi...
Why are the men on Letsrun.com message board butthurt 24/7 ? I'm sure they're butthurt even in their sleep. Such inferior, sensitive, feeble, maybe even feminine, things.

It appears that she was caught by the Japanese and killed. I lot of evidence such as pictures point to this.
Dateline theory coupled with bad weather caused her to run out of fuel . The international dateline at that time wasn't as fixed as it is nowadays with satellite imagery. . So if her navigation was off enough to throw her 60 miles off course, and putting them into bad weather and further from their target , running out of fuel was a very likely scenario . Could she have run out of fuel and still been captured by the japanese? Sure, especially if they saw her go down.

There is so much about Amelia Earhart that would break the hearts of liberals, if only they knew the full story. To just scratch the surface:
She described HERSELF as a "sack of potatoes" on her first trans-Atlantic flight in 1928. She did none of the flying and just sat there adding weight. But yay, a woman did it, screamed the headlines.
She was put up for that 1928 flight by a bored New York socialite who wanted a woman to do what Charles Lindberg had already done in 1927.
When Earhart did finally go solo across the Atlantic in 1932, she left from Newfoundland and crash landed in Ireland. Lindberg had gone from New York to Paris five years earlier.
She crashed and vanished on her round-the-world attempt.
