Northern Arizona's Nico Young puts in the work in Flagstaff, Arizona one week prior to his 3:57 mile at altitude and two weeks prior to his 5k run at BU.The ...
This weekend will be interesting. If he does break the NCAA record, the current holder of that record will be in attendance as a spectator. With the Olympic standard. This going to be an epic track season.
I appreciate the recovery being displayed. So many training videos don't mention/show the recovery time. Gives you a better sense of the difficulty with this workout.
Yes I do. He's been ripping crazy workouts since he was 15.
He doesn't have world class speed, but he makes up for it with the huge engine. Huge engines are created through hard work. He's kind of a Ritz 2.0 only a lot less injury prone. His being able to get consistent uninterrupted training vs Ritz makes him way faster. The guys beating Nico work very hard, but they straight up have better wheels naturally.
You think he trains harder than Blanks, or other U.S. elite runners?

In other words, he can push himself harder than Blanks does? “Huge engines” are genetic and Blanks also has one.

I don’t know about that. Nico beat Graham by 28 places in high school NXN. No one had heard of him. He didn’t have better “wheels” then. Graham runs everything at 6:00 or less pace.
Love this stuff... the amazing thing is that the Collegiate Record is now 13:03 by Graham Blanks (Harvard), and I'm not sure this workout is fast enough!!
Anyone else want to know who is Track All Access is? He obviously has to be someone already established in the running landscape since he has already had access to some top US athletes. The Instagram page does not have much on there. A better version of Sweat Elite.
Pretty sure the guy behind the camera was Gordon Mack, he's no longer with the flotrack podcast so it would make sense and it definitely sounded like him.
