On average, men and women better be having roughly the same amount of sex. Otherwise the math doesn’t add up.
you are forgetting about the gay sex

I'll blame the pill first and foremost for eliminating the possibility of having a baby from sex -- making women more willing to have sex with guys they wouldn't want to marry.
Next, I'll blame legal abortion, which made sex even less significant because even if a woman did get pregnant, she still didn't have to have a baby.
Lastly, I'll blame social media/the Internet in general. Normal women won't settle for average men because they only want the best of the best men (rich and/or hot) from what they see online. i think a lot of you are really overcomplicating things here
ultimately, people are less likely to have sex if they are in a house with other people; especially if those other people are parents of one of the two involved
as it has become and more and more difficult to get a place of one's own, so too do we see less and less men having sex because they are still the one's expected to support themselves. that's why more guys are not having sex, while those guys who are tend to be sleeping with more women than in the past.
women don't tend to need their own place to get laid, whereas men most certainly do
