The legend of a man only started marathoning 8 months ago. He's 46. He's run faster than probably half of LR and is clearly super hard-working.
But get this: the dude has run 7 marathons fairly close to his PR in the last 8 months, with 5 of them in the last 3. He's also thrown in some half ironman races and a 50K
And now he just ran a 3:10 at Houston
His negative splits are amazing too on a windy day. Don't tall people get more affected by wind? There are plenty of runners who could do a lot of marathons and run them "well", but he really is.
He wasn't too bad at that hockey thing either. Very very very few make it to 20 seasons let alone 24... I sometimes wonder how great pro-athletes are at running and would not necessarily chose a guy like him to be my first pick. I'm just blown away at how talented and strong he is
