Charles Hicks posted his workout to Strava today. Does that mean he left Bowerman? Those guys aren’t aloud to post to Strava. Anyone hear anything? Run was still in Oregon.

Good example of how much your profile reduces by turning pro when you still have eligibility. Instead of dominating NCAA xc and throwing down a sub-13 5000m college record, he has been in the cone of silence until now.

He finished his degree, why should he continue to stay in school unless he wants to get a Masters? Not everyone is BYU athlete or Olin Hacker who compete at a collegiate level for >6 years.
UPDATE - Charles seems to have now privatised the workout. Probably got in trouble with Papa Jerry. Doesn't seem like BTC will open strava floodgates anytime soon :((

I'm amazed the sponsors are OK with not posting on Strava. Strava posts are targeted at active runners and sell shoes because there's a shoe selection for each post.
I am a fan of Charles Hicks. He graduated and he decided to prioritize readiness for the Olympics. Pro money is relatively high after an NCAA xc championship, but goes down if you stay and don't get more championships. So, his decision was totally understandable. At the same time it is a risk that he will be less ready because it takes a long time to adjust to Jerry's workouts and it didn't work for Cooper Teare within a year. It is also possible to make excellent money on an NIL deal at Stanford as NCAA xc champ.
My point was only that pro athletes not yet at world elite level will get far more publicity within the NCAA.
