I've done a few 100m trail runs. At 3am when you are sleep deprived and exhausted you start seeing all sorts of weird sh*t.

Dark spirits, demons, etc are a real force in this world. They do not manifest themselves in this way always. Usually it is an internal voice.

"Should I cheat on my wife?"

"Would I like to kiss another boy?"

"Am I a girl inside?"

"Should I have one more drink?"

Those are the most common demons we face.

During a 100 miler, I spotted an open tent with a single trekking pole in front of it, it actually was a bolder with a race marker. The mind plays weird games past 30 hours.

This isn't a situation where she hallucinated. She didn't see the figure while on the course. The image showed up in a photograph.

The mind plays tricks on you when you're seriously sleep deprived.

I trained for years with a guy who ran the Western States 100. He told me that once in the late hours of the race, he looked over and saw a 6 foot tall rabbit running upright beside him. He didn't think it was odd at the time. He just ran beside the rabbit until the rabbit eventually went away.

Why isn't the photographer named? Seems like this woman edited the picture.

The woman alleging something might be true (I didn't read the story, so I don't know who, in fact, did the alleging), but demons (and ghosts and angels and gods) aren't real, so that's fiction.

Why do all of these beings with supposedly god-like powers forego doing important things with them? It's like aliens that developed faster-than-light or interdimensional travel coming to Earth for no other reason than to mutilate cattle and do butt stuff to humans. Ruling worlds, altering dimensions, and enslaving the universe would be the logical aims of dark spirits. What are they doing? Getting Dave drunk enough to sleep with Beth from accounting at the company holiday bash.
