They are operating The Great World Race for very wealthy hobbyjoggers with a price tag of €45,000/USD$49,000 per person for a 7 day race consisting of 7 marathons on 7 different cities in 1 week. No mention of drug testing on their website so this is basically a free for all finisher medal type thing.

Running a race near the south pole is asking for rampant cheating as the races cross several time zones. You'll have runners claiming to finish earlier than they started.
