And now cocaine allegations are in the mix.

finally some interesting running news
Any info on Edmonton's running clubs?
That's actually called an entitled, bitter woman without a father figure in her life complaining about society.
Is that lady a dramatic Karen: probably.
Does that group not know how to run in groups and have outgrown their route: absolutely!
I see this in my city. There is a group that was small had a route through downtown on a weekday in the evenings. Worked fine when you never had more than 3 people in a group they could fit on the sidewalk or be in a tight group on the road. Well now that group is about 50 people each week they pushed back the time to be later so 1/2 the year it is dark and they take up the sidewalk plus and entire lane of the road (not always the left side). They are great people but they have outgrown their route and it isn't safe for them. Someone will get hit by a car it's just a matter of time. Social runners don't know how to run in groups they can't fit 20 people in a tight group on a sidewalk of shoulder of a road like people that grow up running and training competitively. That is fine but that means you need to move to a place the city has designed for group runs. There are far better places in the same neighborhood to run that don't have heavy traffic areas they are just the less gentrified areas so probably would scare away the rich people. The group will or has gotten big enough that there is this arrogance that we are the best running group in our city (they aren't the fastest nor the biggest... Not even top 3) those other groups for the most part all figured out how where or when to run to not be taking over busy public roadways
She is a snowflake
That lady had tears in her eyes cause her tote bag was shoved. Can't roll my eyes hard enough.
That said, I believe those runners on the sidewalk are incredibly rude. And the other video of them having "wholesome fun" dressed up as Christmas elves running in the middle of the street and doing stretches in a conga line makes them look like a terrorist organization. What a nightmare.
Being a dick on the sidewalk sucks, sure. And lots of club runners don't really know the rules of the road/track, but that's an entirely separate conversation. But I will never give a single s#it if a running club member does a few lines of blow. Mind your own business and don't do blow if you don't want to.

Nobody runs there.
It's the same in NYC. I have run with the Midnight runners and it's a lot of fun, but the group is huge and all over the place. They block the road, bike lanes, sidewalk. I had to stop going because it was too much.
Has this group run in Toronto evolved like SantaCon?
At first, it was a handful of funsters doing a themed run or bar crawl. It then became a large gathering of mostly fun people with a growing number of problem drunks getting stupid and handsey. Today, it's a massive gathering of drunks, druggies, and sociopaths doing whatever the hell they like, taking over public transit, and blocking streets while using the crowd as cover.
Some cycling groups and hashing groups in various places have also become unruly mobs that disrupt traffic and force pedestrians off of the sidewalks because they have the numbers to do so. Some might see that as intimidation or violence.
We seem to be losing the ability to behave ourselves and to easily fall into herd mentalities.
viral tiktok = what China wants you to see. Trouble in western cities. My BS detector is on high alert with this one.
I will knock out all of those turkeytrotters one by one
