I sympathize with the overall message, but this is written in such a comically misleading way. It would have you believe that only 12 scholarships are available to women at Wisconsin and that is laughably, ridiculously untrue.
I don't know why people do this. It weakens the argument.

12 scholarships overall at Washington volleyball
he took one
Yes, I know, but that's not what the tweet says. And about 1000x more people will see the tweet than read the article, because intentionally meant to mislead in order to get people mad enough to share it.
When T says that “everything’s great,” her mother knows to gently nudge her to continue. On occasion, the mother has found, T is actually thinking about how much she dislikes her penis because it reminds her of why people think she’s a boy. When she was born, the box for “male” was checked because she emerged from the womb with biologically male body parts.
"It reminds her of why people think she is a boy."
No. How about writing it like this?
"T is actually thinking about how much she dislikes her penis because it reminds "her" that she is a biological male and always will be one. When she was born, the box for "male" was checked because that is her sex."
I think this is going to put me over the top. I want to max #sexnotgender shirts but donate the proceeds to some worthy cause. Is there a save women's sports charity of something?
I think it should be illegal for any govt entity to ask anyone about their gender. That's like asking about their religion.
In the latest case of women's sports being hijacked by men, a 6-foot high school boy on puberty blockers has reportedly been offered a scholarship to join
We were told that boys dominating girl's sports in high school was no big deal because they wouldn't be taking women's college scholarships. Maybe we could solve our Title IX issues by having half the football team identify as female.

Isn’t been confirmed, but if she did receive a scholarship, it would be one of 85K given to female athletes. The sky isn’t falling quite yet.
Unfortunately, women's sports will not be a major talking point of either political party.
However, your first statement is correct - unless something is done we'll be seeing women's college teams on which the majority of players were born male. It stems from decades of absurd application of title ix - in which women get bigger rosters than men for every sport to equal out football, decades of women getting a leg up in admissions processes, in grading, in job applications, etc. People are biologically driven to succeed - some are going to identify that its easier to do that as a woman.
Now back to your first point - as a coach who's job is tied to the team's record, what do you do? Recruit the best players you can - that means xy athletes. The whole reason title ix exists is so women will have teams, but if so few women are going to speak up this will continue until transgender athletes are common place. It may even lead to men's, women's, and nonbinary sports in the ncaa after becoming common place enough. Imagine how long track meets will be then lol.
The solution I see requires both sides of the political aisle - it requires female athletes who vote on both sides of the political spectrum to speak up about how it is unfair for xy athletes to compete in women's sports.
I've said this before - if you go wah wah leftists, a lot of people who want sport to be fair otherwise, but don't view it as that high of a priority are going to tune you out.

A majority of scholarships would be greater than 42,500. In ten years, the number of scholarships given to transgender athletes has increased from zero to one. At that pace it will take thousands of years for a majority.
