Kids that do this are almost exclusively evangelical christians and are picking some weirdo bible college.

Taylor University fits that bill. From their wiki page:

"Students, faculty and staff are required to sign the "Life Together Covenant" (LTC) upon joining the university.[50] Community members pledge to adhere to certain standards of conduct andrefrain from certain behaviors, including social dancing (excepting marriages taking place off of school property and choreographed or folkdance), premarital sex, homosexuality, smoking, and the consumption of alcohol, with the intention of strengthening the community as a whole. Students cannot register for classes or housing unless they have signed the LTC pledge each year. The LTC is viewed as not only a covenant, but as a binding contract as well. Penalties for not adhering to the LTC range from "citizenship probation" to expulsion from the university. In 2013 the dancing rule was modified to allow officially sanctioned school dances."

Yep - it's basically a Liberty but probably worse academics. If you want a conservative college, why not pick Hillsdale or Pepperdine? They're still respectable schools with real academics. Or if you want a different Christian one (though I'm not sure her denomination), pick BYU, Notre Dame, Georgetown, etc.

Outside reasons, just like Wiley most likely play effect. Taylor is a very religious school, and maybe thats what she's looking for, maybe parents went there, who knows the reasons.

Everyone just needs to find the school that is the best fit for them. That’s really the bottom line.

Having said that, NAIA & D2 school generally have lower academic standards and admission requirements vs D1 & D3 schools. That isn’t always the case and there are exceptions. D2 Mines is a great example of a D2 school with solid academics. There are others as well.

Also, methinks the OP of the thread was trolling & being disingenuous by using “Wiley” in the thread title. He knew that using her name would more likely bring derision within the thread.

Wow! Totally agree with each kid needs to find the right university for them. My daughter was accepted and had scholarships to run at all divisions and yes, she settled on an NAIA choice. It was a great decision for her & as a parent I allowed her to visit schools across the country to find her way. She is headed to grad school to major in Occupational Therapy. She has been challenged academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and athletically at her NAIA choice. She experienced life changing situations after she committed & she needed the support and team friendships that she found in her university. Show some respect for athletes that do chose NAIA over D1 for personal reasons.

Congrats to your daughter and her future career as an OT. That’s a great career choice. She’ll be in demand and always have a job.
