I seriously doubt it.
It's laughable Siegel's idea to extend with Nike was viewed as 'genius' and worth paying out like $30 million in bonus ($20 million to the ex- Nike guys who negotiated it and $10 million to Siegel )

anyone know any details? like did we have an open bidding process and did they get the deal inflation-indexed?
Would love letsrun to find out, and sincerely hoping we didn't fire-sale it and get ripped off like the US apparently did
Of course they got ripped off...because UKA have no leverage. It's hilarious that they have an accountant for a Chairman and a CEO who is a timid pussycat - Chairman now in over 2 years and CEO 18 months, and zero sponsors. If it wasn't for Nike, UKA wouldn't exist anymore - so yes, of course they got ripped off...because they put themselves in this position!
Crazy to read how much hosting some of the events lost.
It's a shame as some turned a profit.
But the losses for certain events were huge.
Also sad that they were in profit two years ago to this position now.
Hope they can turn it all around.
The even crazier thing is - they keep hiring Cherry Alexander to run the events...she's the reason for the big losses! The years they got rid of her under Coates' CEO ship, they started to turn the ship around and clawed back the financial issues. But when Coates did that, she got berated. Then they bring Cherry back and surprise surprise all the events make massive losses...
