There’s already another thread on this but I’ll repost what I said there, here…
That’s great for her. I’m happy for her. She’s earned it.
I’m hoping that Marzekich, Valby, Wiley, and all the young & talented American women & men, also do well in getting and securing professional deals.
Those 3 especially probably already have companies fighting for them, but I suspect Valby will end up sticking with Nike. They are doing a good job marketing her and she is getting some cool opportunities already. Can't see her leaving that.
Smart move, dodging Valby Lemngole Olemomoi Asekole Ramsden and Markezich to avoid further defeats by then. Need to cash in on what’s left of her brand before the offers drop further.

LOL Dodging Valby, Ramsden and other Collegians, by going Pro where she will be going against people MUCH BETTER than them like Kipyegon, Hassan, Gidey etc. It is not ducking when instead of racing who they say your ducking, you go up against people a lot better than them.
You are delusional. She will never threaten any of the three names you mentioned in a race, and likely never even race any of them. She is moving away from actual competitive racing for the win, and entering competitive training (helping pacing other pros during their longer workouts). Her best hope is to ride out the contract as long as possible until they realize she will never make a global team, and drop her.
It’s why Valby called this site "Let's Hate" in her Citius interview. They have a fun athletic rivalry but people try to pit the two of them against each other and create a personal rivalry on top of that and it’s just weird.
This is true. And neither of them will ever be good enough to make a global team. But they sure do draw attention.
I just hope Valby has a supportive inner circle when her bubble bursts. She is on fire right now, just as Tuohy has been at times. After the spectacular performance last weekend, I hope she is prepared for the first time she runs over 15:00 in the 5K and this site lights up with the "she's done, washed up, peaked, only going to get slower...has she gained weight?" threads. Tuohy has carried most of that weight for many years now. I am glad for her to have someone to help shoulder the load, but wish there didn't have to be a load to begin with. Considering how many of the prophecies have ended up being right about Tuohy (she proves this board wrong every time), you would think people would learn.

Little grasshopper is triggered. It’s not healthy to be so angry, little one. Just chill out and enjoy life.

No one is angry here, just stating a logical analysis of the facts.

I think that she will be similar to Drew Hunter with Adidas. She will be good. She will run some nice times and win an odd event or two. But she will be in the shadows of then top Americans.

I don't get this. Both Tuohy and Valby are faster now than Monson, Cranny and Schweitzer were at that age. Why is it assumed that Valby and Tuohy will not similarly improve as pros?
Nothing is guaranteed, but it's reasonable to think that Tuohy and Valby will have some future window of pro success.
This school year is the last time, most likely, K Tuohy will finish top three in a big race. K T is just going to allow P Valby to win NCAA outdoor 5000m without a challenge? Defeating P Valby, outdoor NCAA 5000m final, K T's ... . Anyway, is she happy?
