That's laughable. Even running in lane 2 for an entire bend is just a few extra meters indoors, and she certainly didn't have to go that far out or for that long. I doubt it even added a full second.
Also, have you people even raced an indoor 5000?? The idea that lapped runners should be bailing to the outside lanes is absurd. Any experienced runner knows that at real speed on a crowded track it's much safer and more predictable for the lapped runner to hug the rail and maintain their line.
