Heard it hear first.
But who will be the fastest female of the day? DII and DIII races remain.

I went to UF, and if you said we could finish top 5 at any point in my lifetime I’d have said you’re nuts.
Followed PV all through high school, and it’s so great to see a Florida kid win the whole thing. What an ass kicking.
NOBODY is beating 18:55. Insane talent. Today was the coronation for Valby.
I think she can take the 3K/5K double indoors and the 5K outdoors. She could become only the 10th NCAA female distance runner to win 5 titles in a career.
It's valbymania!!! Tuohy didn't put up as much as a fight as I expected...it was like a repeat of Nuttycombe. I thought Tuohy would at least come in 2nd if she didn't win, but man, that was WILD...
I was betting that by end of day Lindsey Cunningham of Winona State would have the fastest time, but after that performance I am no so sure anymore.

This is like the 20th thread about this. Americans care more about NCAA than when you have the WC in the US. This is why you suck on the international stage as well. I suppose it is because at least in the NCAA you know an american might win.
Just watched the race. Her form is superb. It makes me wonder if other runners would benefit from cross training as well from muscular standpoint. I always thought she was a tiny gal but she is bigger than a lot of girls behind her. It looks like her stride is longer with slightly less cadence. Her upper thigh muscles appear to power bigger strides.
I thought Touhy would have been a lot closer because it's a course with hills and touhy likes hills. Valby really went for it!!!
When Chris Solinsky left UF to head to Oregon many people are this board said she should transfer to stay coached by him.
Well seems in more ways that one she made the right choice
That was one of the best, most gutsy/courageous performances I have ever seen, she ran a record all on her own for the whole race. That is extremely tough to do both physically and mentally, she did not look back once. So amazing, and so exciting to watch
Honestly same. It was like throwing a varsity state champion in a jv race or something. Pure domination. She never looked back because she knew they weren't catching her.
It seemed like she had a medical condition where she feels no pain...
And only runs 3 days a week. And looks like a model(and trains in Florida...not colorado or flagstaff). Whole thing fascinates me.
Valby was unstoppable. Despite being caught last year she just went out and ran away from the field again. 18:55. No one was touching that today. Total domination.
All the treads here talking about how she wasn’t the favorite turned out to just be wishful thinking.
