Jenny Hoffman Smashes Run Across America Record, Catches LRC Sleeping On The Job

The only thing I'm attracted to her about is that she studies Physics. That's the one I want to hear more about. I studied and practiced electromagnetic Physics all my life and I'm curious to know which genre of Physics she specializes in.

If only there was an easy way to find out…

Ironically, WillC was the only one talking about this run on these boards. And, surprise, it's further circumstantial evidence of the fraudulence of Will Goodge's attempt-- i.e. ample amounts of clean, plausible, and easily available data where he still refuses to provide the same. No phony charity fundraising angle for this one either.

Don't lie, I checked his Goodge thread, WillC had no idea Hoffman even did this transcon these past couple months until someone else brought it up! And all WillC then said was dumb things about Hoffman's heart rate when he has no idea how to even download her data, let alone analyze.

Given this is letsrun it's easy to predict few will be properly impressed until it's done sub-4 pace (which would be 8.5 days lol)

And of course letsrun cheating/doping claims are a must.

But seriously, mind-blowing impressed to see anyone do a week's worth of miles every day non-stop for FOURTY EIGHT days.

I cannot even imagine how much everything hurts at that point.

Then there is the safety aspect, roads are crazy dangerous these days with smartphones basically being legal drunk driving.

That is something I don't like about this Jenny Hoffman, she's too smart. A Harvard quantum physics professor. That means she is capable of planning complex schemes that we would have difficulty pulling apart and verifying.

According to her Wikipedia profile, Hoffman's marathon PB is only 3:23:08 set recently in Lowell, MA, 2021 at the Baystate Marathon.

By comparison, before Pete Kostelnik's transcon record in 2016, he had a marathon PB of 2:41:06 in 2015 at the Lincoln Marathon. In 2016, Pete was 28 years old.

Hoffman's marathon PB just seems really slow for someone who chopped off a week over Sandra Vi's previous transcon record. And Hoffman is currently 45 years old! Yet she is got to under 5.5 days of a much faster and younger Pete Kostelnik. Something just doesn't add up.

A transcon is more than 100 times longer than a marathon. By your reasoning, somebody's 400m time should be a good predictor of marathon performance.

And she wasn't faster than Pete Kostelnik. She was faster than Sandra Vi.

Don't pretend not to know what I meant. Will C was the one who "talked about it"-- i.e. explained to the uninitiated what it meant and how it compared with other transcons, including how it further highlights how Will Goodge could not have done what he claims based on the data he has made available.

You accuse Will C of somehow deflecting attention from Dr. Hoffman's incredible performance, when he is probably the most qualified among us to properly judge it-- which he actually DID in the Goodge thread! In doing so, he put yet another nail in the coffin of the Goodge fraud. You know this, yet you continue to obfuscate on Goodge's behalf, for reasons known only to you.

A 400m is largely anaerobic. A marathon is fully aerobic. A transcon is fully aerobic. Each day Hoffman was allegedly covering 2.5 marathons on average in the transcon. A marathon PB gives a fairly good indicator of what to expect for a transcon.
