I am going to try to get all this information out to you guys in a pretty condensed way so you don't have to spend hours reading this so here we go...
For context, I am looking to run a sub 2 800, and a 4:30 1600 (ambitious... yes, but I think it may be doable with the right training)
I am in 10th grade, just finished xc with a 5k of 19:17. Last years 5k was 20:48 so pretty decent drop. Last year I ran a 2:14 800m, and ran 5:29 on only my second (and last) 1600 of the season. Now 5:29 to 4:30 seems ambitious, but that was at the very start of the season (on basically 0 training), and I think had I continued to train I could have gotten into the 4:50s. For context I had never really ran before last years xc season, and I didnt run between xc and track, so the times I got last year were basically down to natural skill and whatever my coach had me do. For this off season I really want to crack down on my training, so here is my training plan. Please tell me what I should change.
