Lananna is just a bad person. I don’t care who he coaches or coached. Vin Lananna will throw anyone under the bus for his own gain.
He’s a monster ti deal with in the ACC. He thinks his ideas are better than everyone else. He talks down to everyone and all the coaches just get sick of hearing he loathing voice. We are very happy to have SMU , Stanford and California are joining the ACC to silence the man.

I once wrote Vin Lananna an unsolicited email when he was A.D. at Stanford. I was a high level runner in college and had just started coaching high schoolers. I emailed to ask him a simple question about his training regimen when he coached at Stanford. He graciously replied!
Anyway, my one experience interacting with him was more positive than it would have been with most people. I wish him the best.

Once he got fired from Stanford for cheating it started. Then the got removed from USTF for conflict on interest concerns over the federal prob of how the 2021 IAAF world championships were awarded to Eugene. Then booted from Oregon. This guy has cheated and scammed his entire career. After this he ends up in Virginia, he is more bitter and angry than ever. He should have just walked away before all this dirt came out. He looks really unhealthy cure and this probably doesn’t make him a saint to be around in his defense.
Another smear thread about Vin proving once again the greatness of this man that it would produce such envy and hostility from random LRC losers. Looks like Vin's still living rent free between your ears.

I agree with this. Parts of Vin used to be good. Lately something came loose. Maybe because all of his skeleton in the closet got exposed. That would anger anyone

Vinny has been a cheat even in his NY days. I have no ill will , I just have known him from way back on NY. He never changed and had always been a self- centered dishonest coach and business man.
Don’t know about the rest but he was a good coach at Oregon. He was stabbed in the back by Robert Johnson who is no longer in the sport in any capacity because of all his abuse and cheating scandals at Oregon.

I don't know if he was a cheat in NY. I first met Vin when he was coaching at C.W. Post, where he had a good team of runners from the Island. His problem is that he takes himself too seriously, which as you mature you learn nothing is that serious, but he has missed that lesson. He is a good organizer though.
