I think she did quite well actually coming off a long stretch period of many injuries. I think today her battle was more of a psychological one against herself rather than her competitors.I think she needed to get her self belief back and i reckon she won that battle aganist self .Personally as a coach I actually think she did very well today on her come back. Bear in mind NYC is quite a unique course.I have a feeling Athletics Kenya will not rush their decision especially on the women's team.I wouldn't if I was on the selection panel because looking at the bigger picture it makes sense to wait for the spring races.
She'll be fine. She'll get paid (probably double, when she podiums) to run London and/or Chicago next year. Would be nice to see her bag another major, even with slightly watered down fields.
Omanyala tested positive, was banned and he’s still running. Also, there are way too many Kenyans being popped so I don’t blame you for getting them mixed up. They should’ve been banned a long time ago but world athletics is too scared to labeled racist and cancelled. All of the results coming out of Kenya are a joke because you know it’s just a matter of when not if they’ll get popped. Just like their track athletes, they complain about being poor and then disappear for the majority of the year when there are plenty of races. Not suspicious at all.
Looking at the course in Paris, I'd hand the gold to Obiri right now, unless Gidey goes all-in on the marathon at this point.
Also, isn't Lokedi a decent outside shot now? A win and podium in NY suggests she has what it takes to be highly competitive on a hilly course like Paris
