Yes and there are a lot of people running marathons who shouldn't be. I have a very overweight acquaintance who races regularly. He's very flabby and overweight and runs marathons (very slowly) and races a few times a month.
There's just no way he's healthy- I'm sure his arteries are clogged and his heart has to be working overtime.
If he ever has a medical emergency people will say- and he was so healthy he even ran marathons.
The obsession with completing endurance events at all costs is going to lead to more health emergencies like that. It's not that the streets are closed, those people likely should not have been running an endurance event in the first place.
