moving to Eugene basically killed Bowerman. Nobody likes it there, the team would rather be at altitude. at Worlds all the Bowerman guys were complaining about Eugene, lots of discontent with them. really interesting listen.
Why does Josh Cox even come up in this thread? He is not in the video and has nothing to do with Bowerman. He did that TV show and it probably helped him get a bit of T&F commentating too. So it paid off. He is a pretty nice guy to talk to, very down to earth. He was one of the hardest working distance runners I've ever met and amazingly durable. Just did not have Meb/Ryan level talent, but could train with them.
I opened the video and it is 67min of 3 dudes talking at a coffee table. I ain't got the time for that.
It seems clear that Bowerman is in a rapid turnover state, if not dying. End of story. You're welcome for saving you 66min.
That's where he started being a douche, I guess. He still is.

He is in the video though. They spend time trying to remember the name of the elite runner that went on a reality dating show, which was Josh Cox

Grumpy old dude doesn't know what's going on but sure does have an opinion about it.
Ask your grandkids to explain to you what a podcast is, Boomer.
I have a question. Are there any living human beings on Earth who would watch a podcast? As a runner, I listen to like 7 hours of podcasts a week while running but I have never, ever watched one. Do you sit in a chair and just watch or are you really just listening as you do something else?

When plopped on an exercise bike it's slightly more interesting to watch than just listen, and every bit of interesting helps when on a bike. In the case of Coffee Club, it also helped me learn their voices and who was talking, because it was slightly difficult at first with the three similar but different accents. Usually it's clear just based on context.
