Didn't Sara skip world championships half last week because she was injured? I didn't even know this 10k was happening, but might just be because it was a women's only race and I'm more aware of what races guys are doing.

Personally, thought the field was mediocre at best. Very few of the top 25-30 10k runners in the country were in attendance.
Sara said on instagram she had a rough race and felt ‘overcooked’ and was going to listen to her body and rest and recharge. She pulled out of the world road champs due to I think SI joint issues.
Hope she can get back on track for the trials.
Abbey Cooper is now just coming off of giving birth, a pretty serious injury, and a coaching change.

what new coaching change for abbey? I know she left coogan, but that was years ago.
Who is Annie Rodenfels? She did awesome.
Looks like she was DIII in college and just kept running after and kept getting faster and faster, 4:30 mile, 15 minute 5Ks all over the place. Future OTQ perhaps?

Yeah, she was a D3 star at Centre. I feel like she was known mostly for the steeple back when she was in college and just graduating, but since joining BAA she's done some more flat distance events. There are some good videos of indoor races she's won on the BU track.

Did you see the prize money? I'm stunned by how large it was. I'm also stunned an African didn't show up. Was it US only prize money? I know in the past Africans were eligible for the $$$.

Boston 10K is legit. Has been for years.
No offense to Sara Hall, but I don't think she is favorite to make the Olympic Marathon team, especially with her recent injury issues. She is a dark horse contender at best.
As for Jenny beating Molly, it really doesn't mean a whole lot given that Molly is 4 weeks out from a marathon and definitely not in peak 10k shape.
