Speedrunning her way into getting popped for EPO
We like to have 1 thread per topic so we merged two threads together and kept the title of this thread. The other thread was entitled, "Assefa performance."
Speedrunning her way into getting popped for EPO
lmao was going to post this (the EPO allegations) as I was looking at her world athletics page, where did this come from?
1:59 for 800 Runner ran her first Marathon in 2:15. 37 I believe this is her 2nd one, Imagine what an 1:54 for 800 Runner will do? under 2:10? Maybe Athing Mu?
Imagine what David Rudisha could have done in marathon. Maybe 1:40?
YEP Speed is important in any race against time

Her date of birth on World Athletics is 2 years 9 months later than the one listed on her Wikipedia page. She's either 26 with a December birthdate or 29 with a March birthdate.
It’s her 3rd. First one was 2:34 while “injured”
I know you are being sarcastic, but running 3:05's last 10 k's and a 3 flat last 1,000m ...you need more than 1:59, sorry.
I may need to apologise to armstronglivs the way this is going.
WR times are being run with alarming frequency. Is this natural progression or the the influence of drugs and supershoes?
Yes a combo of both has let athletes recover faster than ever before and increase their mileage and frequency of threshold efforts to levels never seen before.

It was based on her WA profile - they have changed her date of birth, though it is rather shocking.
I really worry that in the near future, no one will be able to break a World Record without being suspected of Drugs, I hope I am wrong and most will see new World Records as solely because of Hard Work, Consistency and Dedication in Training, proper amount of sleep and a fairly Healthy Diet

In the near future? It’s already that way. Probably has been for 40 years or more to anyone who was paying attention. The fact is drugs work and the difference in talent among the best in any sport is razor thin. Everything you listed is still required but the likelihood of a “clean” athlete beating someone on PEDs is highly unlikely.
The womens marathon record is a weak one. Do you rememeber when Paula Radcliff broke it? It was by about 2minuts if i remember. from 2:17 to 2:15. You then had a 2:14 and i always thought it was there for the taking.
Lets be honest guys, we Ethiopians are not known for this kind of things, Athletics is the biggest sport in Ethiopia and for Ethiopians it is a source of pride. No athelt would dare bring damage to our reputation as there is a huge price to pay from the public. The federation is corrupt on money matters and selection but not to drugs level.
The shoes , she loved it. She took it off and kissed it. If althets like Joshua can take KB's record wearing this type of shoes, why can't Tigist? Its the age we live in, technology
According to WA scoring tables Assefa’s time is worth 1319.
For comparison, the half marathon WR is 1281 and 10k road WR is 1290.
Letsaltright.com message board is *devastated,* salty, butthurt and suffering another existential crisis.
Half splits 66:20/65:33

Yeah, it’s just a complete joke now. Unfortunately, it’s made ‘elite’ road running completely unwatchable for me now. The Africans turn up massively doped, dominate the top 10, go home with their new cars and cash to buy houses..Get popped a year or two later (who cares? They got the car and house and never have to give it back). They’re still massively better off than if they hadn’t doped enormously since being teenagers. No one cares!
All the incentives and none of the disincentives to play by the normal rules.
It’s completely destroying the sport.

And this is likely her real level without the massive doing programme.
