jacob with pacing to 1200m, gets the mile wr now obviously. he only has to draft closer, and stay out of no man's land, don't know why he lacks this skill, you can just do repeats of 400m and draft, one session per week, and it will be ingrained.
the 3000m record is obviously on, with drafting, he can put a good dent in komen's record,
the 5000 record is also on, as he's aerobic and the 3000m fitness translates directly to the 5k. he can go sub 1230. again he'll need pacing to take a big chunk out of the record.
the 10k is a different story, nobody who is adapted to 55 second 400m laps has run anywhere near a WR, maybe Aouita. but who wants to run 10k ?? it's not a fun thing to do, especially when you can get more thrills in 5k `1.5k, but to run 10k you need some calories stored, and it is small speculation that jacob does not posess this talent, which is to store enough fuel for 10k, and the fuel factor comes into play after 2k distance, where great aerobic needs fuel to be super elite.
fuel is the main factor in running a marathon. you need 2 hours of fuel. and this is the main talent after being capable of 13min 5k on the track.
so jacob needs to develop (maybe he has) the gas tank and fill it up, and it is speculation that he can do this.
the steeple will be very easy for jacob, if you add on 3 seconds/lap for the hurdles, do the math.
then you have to recognize that outliers, don't adhere exactly to the rules.
since jacob can take the 1500 record just by paying 3 pacers to bring himi to 1200, the marathon is the most speculative WR.
if the athletics braintrust figures out how to add 20% to the fuel tank, then the whole marathon sport will change dramatically, where guys can put together 2 x 59 minu halves.
of course that fuel storage booster, that could be a PED, which is legal at this point, or some kind of "natural" reigeme, a kind of carb boost, but not the carbo boost technique of the 1980s, which was more or less quackery.
