From no context instagram account and this article, seems to be part of his bachelor's party. Hard to judge the time without more context or how fast his drinking times were
Filip Ingebristen losing to nobodies in a beer mile... is it over for him? in fact I think the whole family should retire. 5:20 just isn't fast for a beer mile. It just isn't!
Highly doubt he drank over half of each beer can. I've been to a LOT of beer miles and the only dudes who actually finish each can are the party animal types. The guys who were obsessed with running and how fast they are never finished the cans.
Wild how people don’t think this is impressive. Anyone who has done a beer mile in peak fitness knows how much fitness doesn’t actually matter. For someone I doubt drinks more than a case a year this is extremely impressive. Beats my schools record and many others.

I’m not sure the guy who just ran 3:43 would feel the need to cheat so he could clock a 5:22 beer mile. 4 beers isn’t a lot. It just isn’t.
5:22-4:00 +or-5 secs? 19-22 secs per chug isn’t terrible for a first attempt.
This is awesome. Shows he does have a social life and can behave like a normal 22 year old. That board behind him, haha.
Does anyone know if he sometimes drinks alcohol/beer? As in, is he super strict about nutrition, like those super clean eating athletes (Kerr?)? I remember hearing the Ingebrigtsens would eat pizza, drink coke etc so maybe he does not obsess over that part of his life? I would not put it past him to sometimes have a beer to be honest.
