Also, Kejelcha got boxed in by Bekele with about 150 to go so he had to made up all the grown. Did you see how close that was? Or how close Neguse was yesterday? Scream about Jakob’s dominance again when he can run away from people and not have to keep looking behind his shoulders and then make up an excuse about being sick when he loses.
I think aregawi has better endurance that Yacob. He just needs to peak at the right time. He hasnt put together a decent season. because his coach is a moron. but if he teams up with hagos and whoever trains kejelcha.. the three are going to spank yacob in the 5. This was a major confidence boost for those guys. Fast race ... we can catch him on the line. its razor thin.. but the double will not be easy after rounds.
It should not have been a 3,000. Kejelcha needs to seize the lead at 400 to go. His moronic pass Jakob and then let him go right by your inside maneuver lost him the race.

Jakob running 3:43 yesterday is the only reason Kejelcha had any chance at winning.
I wouldn't dispute that at all.
By the way, Kejelcha admitted his tactics for Worlds were awful in his post-race comments. Hopefully he remembers that in Paris:
"I think I made a mistake in the World Championships. I corrected that, I’m improved myself and very well target today. I should have gone out with 7 or 5 laps to go because I was in a very good condition, but I didn’t make that. That’s a very big mistake."
Also, Ethiopia must go from taking the top three 5k times to an unpaced trials race for picking their team. Ethiopia is always going to have a handful of very fast 5k runners, but you need to find the three that are the most versatile for the best shot at medals and a chance at beating in beating Jakob
