That rules. Good for Athing. It seems like maybe us armchair psychologists were right in the idea that losing might be good for her in terms of getting that pressure/fear and just liking competing again.
Good to see Fisher in the 3000. Why is there a woman in the 5000 with a 16:20 pb?
Great to see Fisher racing this one.
He has had two really good races recently after his injury and is looking strong. His third place 5 k at Zurich DL after a few weeks of running outside of cross training, then his 3k win in Italy closing his last k in 2:24. That is impressive.
I think a top 3 performance is highly possible, maybe he will place first (that’s my hope as a big fan of his), maybe he will break his own US 3k record.
Nah he’s in the 3k here after scratching the Worlds 5k.
You are misunderstanding me. He may have entered what had been billed as a 5000m at Pre and then he is just rolling with it now thet they apparently changed it to a 3000m.
I guess this confirms Wiley is not going pro/staying at Huntington. But I wonder if she was considered by the meet directors for a wild card.
No. They’d pick Sinclaire Johnson as a Nike-sponsored athlete with greater credentials 10/10 times. Addy beat her by only .02 right? Hiltz vs Sinclaire might’ve been closer, but I’m not sure if Hiltz saw which way the wind was blowing and announced she was done or was informed by the meet that Sinclaire was the wild card.
