Jakob treats this 'race' like a weekly long run and drops Kilian easily by at least several minutes. An utterly laughable matchup not at all resembling a competitive race. Now, make it 100 kilometers and there might be something worth discussing.
The only time KJ tried to run a road race, and he trained hard for it, he was chicked and beaten by a child plus beaten by 17 local small town Norwegian club runners.
In a marathon, say Chicago, Jakob goes sub 2:10 and KJ goes 2:28 on his best day.

Why do you call EC1500 gold, WC 1500 bronze medallist Fillip Ingebrigtsen, WC 1500 bronze medallist Narve Gilje Nordås, EC 10.000 silver medallist Mezngi, WC 5000m participant Myhre, Silver U20 EC xc Rahbi, amongst others "small town Norwegian club runners"?
The womens winner, Karoline Gravdal did not beat Kilian, not that it would be a shame as she is one of the best female runners in europe, especially in this disipline where she was some seconds away taking Sifan Hassans european 5k record.
Either you have an unbelievable lack of respect or no idea about what you talk about, which is it?

Uninformed here, does Killian not have any representative times in the flat 40km range to reference? like, zero? training? flatish section of a race?
When I opened the thread I could have sworn KJ was sub 2:20 capable from some reference point without any specific work, but based on everyone’s replies, I must be making that up.
We’ll never know about Jakob’s 35-42.2km race pace body reaction, but you’d guess he’d be at least as capable as Jake Smith (specifically his surprise debut while originally pacing) and throw down something in the just over 2:10 range without specific prep.

They are Norwegian, they live in small towns and they belong to clubs. What is your point?

The latest reply is just from a low life that seems to get some sad pleasure ny repeating that KJ was "chicked" and beaten by "local runners" (several WC and EC medallist", just ignore that.

Dude had to train like a maniac just to run 30 flat. He ain't breaking 2:20 in a real marathon no matter how long he trains for it.
The fact is that KJ was beaten badly by 17 Norwegian club runners including a child. That is the true fact, and nothing LarsL11 says will ever change that fact. Here are some more facts: KJ can't beat ME in a marathon, let alone beat a world class distance runner like Jakob. He would be very lucky to finish within ten minutes of the first woman in a major marathon.
Another thing is that we are unlikely to see KJ attempt another road race after he was so badly humiliated in the one he tried. It would be bad for his brand.
