Another title. I imagine she will take down the 3000 WR if she takes a shot in September.

Women's version of El Guerrouj and Nurmi...
Yes.
Just looked at the 3k WR. That may be a touch too fast even for Kipyegon. Let's say she should get down about 8:10. This would be #2 alltime.
Agree, yes she is. Hassan is amazing & can't beat her. The 10k champ, Tesgsy had nothing the last lap
These doubles, triples are amazing performanced, and in that heat. Hat's of the Faith.
Also, Faith seems to have lost a step. She's not as sharp as she was two months ago.
The sweltering heat of Budapest @Native son is no joke!!

She was to the gills when she was breaking all those WRs, had to calm it down a little coming into the Championship.

It will be very tough. If she is in sub-14:00 shape I think she can do it, but if 14:05 was/is her best and/or she is tired from Worlds, no dice. 8:06 has to be the most doped up record on the books except maybe the women’s 400.
Kipyegon is impressive but Sifan Hassan wins that 5k if she wasn't coming off of a marathon.
Kipyegon BARELY outsprinted Hassan despite Hassan having also run a 10k to start the week. Also Hassan hasn't been been doing speed workouts, she is still in marathon training.
Hassan's 10k-1500m double was way more impressive than Kipyegon's 1500m and 5k double. Hassan ran a 3:51 solo in that 1500 by the way.
Agreed,
I think if Sifan had more focus (not trying to win everything from the 1500m to the marathon) she could bear kipyegon. But even then, with the results Kipyegon has done over the last season, I even have my doubts about that.
Faith Kipyegon was impressive. What impressed me the most was not the time or last 400m speed but her composure and tactical awareness throughout the entire race . This is something that many Kenyan runners seem not to have mastered.

Give her a bye into the 800m final already
Even when they were young and running the 1500 only she could barely beat her.
Even when they lost, Kipyegon was always the better loser.
Please. don't bore us with your Hassan Coulds and Woulds
Kipyegon is like man who could run 1:42/3:25/12:33.............
letsrunbros, I find it sus!!
Kipyego is too good tgtbt.
Fixed it for you.
She and Hassan both.

You think her WRs are better than the men's WRs?
And 1:42??

Was happy to see the sham that is Tsegay get destroyed in that 5k.
Not too good, instead you know what's going on
What happened to tsegay? How come she was able to outkick Hassan in the 10K but had nothing left in the 5K? Maybe she just peeked for the right race?
It is all a complete joke - and the fans fall for it.
