So arrogant, why didn't he do an interview with Lewis? He just walked right by him! Where's the love of his country? If he doesn't like it, he should leave.
His attitude is all wrong. He's an arrogant loser.
He’ll probably say he expected the race to go out harder. But this is the problem with US 800m runners. No versatility or plan B if the race goes out slow and there’re studs in the race. You saw Wanyonyi had a plan to make it steady and frontrun a neg split. Arop was happy to make it a 300m race. Pattison/Ben positioned and adjusted. Meanwhile, Bryce did a whole lot of nothing.
Terrible execution, let himself get boxed immediately rather than having any decisive strategy

Tactics and talent gap. US needs to look to the next generation. Sumner or bust. I realize that Brazier, Harris and Hoppel are only in their mid 20s, but I think it’s over for them in terms of truly competing for a global medal, and Murphy too.

Eight-hundred meters is humbling. We need four turn stagger. Any tactic that does not result in gold medal looks like a poor decision AFTER the race.
Tactic choices:
1) Run in the lead, lane 1 and run positive splits and burn out over the final (100 to 300)m.
2) Run in last place in lane 1 to (300 to 500)m mark. Run all out over final (500 to 300)m in lane 3 and then be told how foolish it was to lose contact with the leaders.
3) Run in pack, lane 1 to 650m and likely get boxed in.
4) Run in the pack, lane 2 or 3 the entire run and be told how foolish to race extra meters.
