Mu's 100m splits are interesting; her 5th 100m was slower than everyone except Sekgodiso, after that her 6th was best in the field and her 7th was too. BUT they weren't actually that fast!

So it looks like what everyone is calling an incredible burst of speed was a 200m in 30.06s...her final sector was 3rd best but she was probably easing up once she had nailed the 2nd Q. Moraa was fastest at the end with 14.98.

The first 400 meters of that race was very fast, so of course by the 500 - 700 meter stretch of the race everyone was slowing down.
You are correct. Mu wasn't actually running that fast, just everyone else was running slower.

whatever burst there was occurred from 600 m to just short of 700 m when she made up about 5m on Moraa while running outside on the curve. Prior to 600 m she had not made up much of the deficit.
Based on her first (42) and last (44) 300's - I can see her running low 1.55. Can anyone else? Of course does she want to lead (maybe after getting tripped up she might) the whole way, if not who will lead?

Her last 300 in full speed was 45:21, 2:00 pace. So with 42 start and 45 finish you need 58 400m in middle of the race, so no sign in this race of 1:55. I don't say that she is not in this shape, but in particular this race was no sign

I figure that Moraa doesn't want the overall time to be fast unless she has a 1.55 in her we haven't seen yet. Even though it lacks surprise I think she will repeat the tactics of the semis.
