Gjert is the best

Gjert is a legend.
Congrats to Gjert for coaching a third runner to a WC medal!
Ma's army 2.0.
At least Gjert and Alberto have the balls to dope their runners.
Did Gjert really post that after his athlete won bronze? If so, that's both hilarious and savage.
Is that for real?! wrote:

No. As the time stamp says,, it was posted 3 days ago.

Not so fast,mr . 👋🧙♂️🇸🇪
Somehow the self-acclaimed "slowest ever 1500 runner" leg speed-wise closes the hardest to nearly overcome Ingebrigsten. Talk about chip on your shoulder racing.
Adding the whole coach credential drama with Gjert and this is just a hilarious and altogether satisfying storyline for the Ingebrigstens. My only wish is that Nordas had just 1 more meter to out lean Jakob at the line to really stick it to him.
Its not that I hate Jakob, but he really has been behaving like a menace lately, showing off to the crowd after abysmal semi heat racing tactics, calling his competitors "idiots", etc. I want him to redeem himself, but for now he needs some humble pie.
Kind of sticks it to the Norwegian Federation, that their prodigal son (and Gjerts real son) is only a meter better than an athlete they deemed did not deserve to have his coach to be credentialed. 2nd and 3rd are both medalists and losers (to the winner), so what is the difference? not much. If I were Narve Nordas, the Federation would have a lot of explaining to do to me. Might make for an interesting continuation of the video series - Narve and Gjert, the sequel.

So a guy who allegedly has the slowest leg speed for elite 1500m runners runs the fastest last lap to stun everyone and get bronze and your first instinct is "he has a chip on his shoulder"? haha - really?

I know what you're trying to say. Yes, that was my first instinct, because I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially considering there is nothing except pure conjecture among cynics of the sport to suggest Nordas is doping.
Neither of us know Nordas. Neither of us know someone who knows Nordas. Whatever we choose to believe about him is made up of what we read and watch, and how we choose to interpret it. I choose to believe he is clean because it allows me to enjoy the sport more, and believing he has a chip on his shoulder allows me to connect more to that storyline. Sue me.
I think it's becoming clear: Gjert = Alberto

Lad, thats not what happened.. In the semi, I was there. He revved up the crowd and it was awesome, we thought it was hilarious and a nice change. Kerr was laughing his head off too.
In the article where he wasn't calling his competitors idiots, but saying you have to think that they are and can do unexpected dumb stuff to mess up your day (like cut across you, push, etc). Need to stay sharp to avoid, mkay?
I was happy to see Kerr win but not because I wanted anything negative for Jakob, just because I was happy for Kerr to take a major medal. The sport needs Jakob, he is awesome and different and fun, and definitely the best 1500m/5000m runner alive, albeit a bit vulnerable to kicks from top tier kickers.
