Yes, it's been noted. Why are these not based on SBs or current World rankings???
I hope sha’cari has an epic meltdown. Ripping wigs off and cat fights with Jamaicans is far more entertaining than another 10.8.
The brutal second semi is just because Ta Lou's and Jackson's ''fault'' because they took it way too easy in the heats.
Quite ironic that taking it easy in the heats caused Ta Lou to be in a such a tough semi because in previous years people criticized her for going out way too hard in the heats, only for her to run slower in the final.
Rooting for SAFP's 6th WC gold! ANYONE but Sha'Carri is a good result!
I forgot how weird Bol's voice is. 🥴
She seems very oddly proportioned
Like she took too much of a particular drug and it caused a section of her body to expand
Yeah there’s a numerical formula and it just bounced this way. I’d prefer if they did it a la tennis and did a complete randomized draw with groupings (eg top 3 separated, next 6 separated and so on). It seems dumb the 1 seed would be face off against 2 heat winners with just 2 auto spots. In fact, I’ll just say it’s a dumb idea on paper. If you do a formula make it 1-5, 2-4 and 3-6-7 for the semis matchups. Winning a heat usually means the most, not facing slower second placers.
Adekoya looked really solid in her heat after her 4 year doping ban
How long until Adekoya gets busted?
Not very. Who does she think she's fooling?
Adekoya a convicted doper (stanozolol) from Bahrain runs a PB after a 4-year absence at age 30. All for serving your time but this one reeks.
WOW. How is that possible? They all won their heat. Can someone explain that. Are they treating all auto qualifiers as the same?
Here's something else that's crazy. There is only 1:15 minutes between the start of the women's semis to the start of the final? Might it be an advantage to be in the 1st heat?
The men's gap was 2:35.
It’s a numerical formula but it sucks. Somehow being the 1 seed draws you the two slowest heat winners. Any 1 seed would rather go against just 1 heat winner and the 8/9 seed.
Seems fine to me. I think Ta Lou, SR, and Jackson from H2 and the other q comes from H3.
Davis and SAFP from H1.
The women's 400h is embarrassingly uncompetitive. Outside of Femke and Syd. It's a joke. There not an athlete that can come within 2-3 seconds of them. In what other race is there such great parity?
There are some real scheduling head-scratchers:
-10K mens on national holiday do it couldn’t be at night
-running 400mh semis before 100m women’s semis/men’s 110h semis for no real reason
bol looked downright bored in that heat
Cannot find the World Athletics stream, can someone link?
Got a front row view of the competition today
