"And, for your friend there... How many Olympic gold medals am I gonna win now?"

So I guess he does read the boards. Lol
"We talked at great length with Michael to get his takes on the current stars of the sport. He was impressed with the current crop of sprint superstars, but he perhaps had the most praise for Noah Lyles. When Rojo threw it out there that he believed Noah might never win an Olympic gold medal, Michael wouldn’t let it go quietly. Michael said, “Are you crazy? Noah Lyles probably isn’t gonna win a gold medal ever? Are you serious? You seriously believe that Noah Lyles is never gonna win a gold medal?” When Rojo said he thought there was a decent chance Erriyon Knighton or Letsile Tebogo beat him next year at the Olympics, Johnson pointed out why Noah deserves to be the big favorite. Michael said, “Noah’s getting faster, running consistently fast times. Regardless of all of that, times are one thing, but the thing is Noah’s been winning."
Michael Johnson was the guest on the LetsRun.com Track Talk podcast on the anniversary of his 19.32 double gold world record to share his thoughts on the sport and its current crop of stars.
I think it's a decent shout by Rojo. Lyles looked unsure he'd even won the 100m when he crossed the line cause he was spooked that Tebogo and Hughes had got so close. Was also partly cause Hughes celebrated over the line like he'd pipped him haha
This is an open post to Robert Johnson from Seth Coleman, Christian Coleman's dad: For you to utter such nonsensical drivel, that "Christian Coleman should be drug tested every day for the rest of his career," shows that you...
Tonight after winning the men's 100m at the World Championships in Budapest, Noah Lyles answered the first question from Jonathan Gault and ended it by calling out LetsRun.com co-founder Robert Johnson for publicly stating that he believes Lyles will never win an Olympic gold.
"And for your friend there, how many Olympic medals am I going to win now?" said Lyles.
Here is the exchange (and we've added in Robert's question of Lyles from later in the press conference).
Olympic track and field legend Michael Johnson did not like LetsRun.com's Robert Johnson's take that Noah Lyles won't win Olympic gold because of young upsta...

I don't think he reads the boards, as he mentioned during his interview with Chris Chavez (30:00 of link below) that he just heard the Michael Johnson interview. Pretty funny, regardless.

The statement still stands until he win gold in Paris. It’s in a years time and a lot can happen with him and other athletes in the distance. Let’s just wait and see who’ll be eating their words.
How’s that a roast? Just because he won world championships golds does that automatically mean that he will win gold in Paris? He can roast and clap back at Rojo when if he wins gold in Paris.
Looks like Lyles is a podcast listener or was tipped off about rojo's prediction. After Jonathan Gault's question at 2:20:https://youtu.be/V_PQADaWMpg?t=140"And, for your friend there... How many Olympic gold medals am I gonn...
