yeah, now i genuinely believe theres a chance that 200m world record goes down. The way he held his composure and kept accelerating? unmatched. With a start like that and such incredible top end speed? once in a generation. Hes got an opportunity to get the world record.
I think he might get it but may still be 1 year away. Still needs more acceleration but he is getting closer. It’s really hard to get to 19.19 without at least 9.7 speed. I think he has another 19.3 in him this year though. Maybe 19.2 with wind help

Do you think Boling has a 19.3 in him as well? What a great 200 meter final that would be.
Not sure, but what I will say is Boling has done 1 event and has 1 world record. Lyles has done 1 event and has 0 world records. And that’s just the facts

The facts are Boling is running on mixed relays now, not good.
Lyles is the current Worlds Fastest Human, see the difference?

Lyles just ran 9.83 in still wind after rounds. He IS in 9.7 shape.

Boling isn’t close to Lyle’s level but he has a WC gold medal that was achieved in world record time. Not sure why you said “not good”. Let’s give him a couple years to see what he can do professionally before we write him off.

My post is based and factual, please cite evidence to the contrary or go away
Going to need sub 9,80 if he plans on running sub 19.1, he's not there yet.
When it comes to being able to sustain/maintain his topend/max velocity he's right there with Bolt and Tommie Smith. Perfect for a 4x1 anchorman.
Tomimie Smith was something else on a 4x1 anchor, actually ran soon to be Olympic 100m champ Jim Hines down a couple weeks before te Olympics in 68.
Michael Johnson had a PR of 10.09. He spent 1994 running a lot of 100m races and still couldn’t break 10.00.
Lyles is a quarter of a second faster than Johnson over 100m.
I don’t think he’ll break 19.1 either, but I don’t limit him the way you do. He’s a 200m runner. His 200 time should be relatively faster than his comparable 100m time. He may get Bolt’s 200m record.
Boling isn't in the sprinting business to be running with the girls in a mixed relay, he's out for far more than that and coming up short, so,......not good,

The only one coming up short is you compared to the bbc that's stuck in your ass.
