Morning session of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS has been going for hours and there is still no thread?

Admins are sleeping. 🙄 Letsrun.com is not a serious establishment.

Update from Rojo: You are correct. I was sleeping here in Hungary, from 3:30 am to 1:30 pm. Jonathan went to the track. Here is our recap.

Guess this is the official thread.

Not a good start for USA fans . . . Britton Wilson dead last in heat 4 . . . then rolled off the track in a wheelchair . . . shin splint problems never resolved.

So now, no SML, Mu and Wilson in the 4x400 relay . . .

Paulino looked really good in that final 400m heat, jogging to a sub-50. Probably still the gold medal favourite.

Very impressive indeed by Ingvaldsen.

Will likely take the European record in the semi as he seemed to slow down last 100.

Norway is on fire - another star in the making. He has a body and running style to also consider moving up to the 800 later

The women's 100m will be fire. Sha'Carri making 10.9x look easy. Already with the antics, but maybe it means she's truly got it this time. Shelly, Sherricka, Ta Lou, Alfred all very relaxed and making it look easy peasy.

The women’s heptathlon is shaping up nicely. Always more fun when it comes down to the 800 to decide the medals. Katarina Johnson-Thompson vs. Anna Hall for gold and Chari Hawkins vs. Noor Vidts for bronze, most likely.

I think Holloway will get the gold now. No Broadbell and Tinch's consistency isn't there.
