The contrast between reigning 400 world champ Shaunae Miller-Uibo and potential World champs SML and Athing Mu is vast

Miller-Uibo is an absolute legendary beast who i love to watch compete and dominate, but as for me, I will root for Sydney McMFloughlin to send her home to her family devastated.

SMU doesn't come from a country with a large and lucrative market so any contracts she's receiving from sponsors would be much smaller. Take away SML and Mu's large contracts and watch them get their asses out to compete.

That’s assuming that she had the average length of pregnancy. it’s possible the baby was conceived the night she won… (shrug). Anywho, that extreme early (1 to 2 weeks) into a pregnancy wouldn’t have impacted her WC performance

I think it's great that everyone is so excited over the Worlds! This is a great build up after such a great season so far. All of this speculation is HEALTHY and what the sport needs. Lots of great stories out there. Props to SMU for giving it the old college try to see how far she can go. We might all be surprised.

This is the dumbest issue and post ever! SML is running a different event and about to break the American record but somehow you clowns find a way to criticize and complain. Let me ask you naysayers a question, exactly which meets are you claiming she has skipped? And I will not even get into the Mu lies. Just sit back and enjoy World's and all the races afterwards. I do not see anyone talking about the disappearance of Paulino but you found fault in the woman that has been racing??? Make it make sense

44.3 is 1.27 seconds off the WR. Aethling's 49.57 is 1.97 seconds off the WR.

Even compensating for the women's WR being slower, 1.97 x 43.03/47.6 = 1.78. The women's WR is less than 10% worse than the men's. So at best she's a 44.81 equivalent.

Miller-Uibo is not scared to take risks. That's the primary difference. Last year she made a last second decision to compete at world indoors because her mom encouraged her to fill that hole in her resume. Miller-Uibo hadn't raced indoors in years and she hates the tight turns. But to make her mom happy she went to Belgrade and defeated Bol in the final.

Sydney would have found a blemish in her luggage and called off the trip.
