In the last week I personally know eight people that have gotten Covid, so it's coming back around. A couple of them very sick, a couple of them so-so sick and a couple of them just very mild symptoms. None of them were traveling. All just contacted at work or office or who knows where. None of them work together and it's four different states (USA). The friend that got very sick - it was his first time getting Covid so there's that. No need for the psychopath anti-vaxers to jump in here. Just stating the facts that this new variant is out there. Not good to get if you you're training for a fall marathon.
Hospitalizations are up 13%. Definitely something to be concerned about.
To be so naive. It is hospitalized with COVID at this point, not from COVID. Pretty much everyone has t-cell memory at this point, so, COVID is basically like any common cold you have had at any other point in your life, as excess deaths have pretty much been non-existent since the omicron wave.
