Engels is not serious about running and went back to Vanhoy. I’m not knocking Vanhoy at all, but going back to a college setting with no pro environment was not smart

Centro is an old man and Olympic champion who has raced twice as many 1500 races this season as Kessler. Centro doesn’t need more racing experience. Kessler does.

Engels most likely has something wrong. Hunter just hasn’t translated to pro running. Tinman and mom were great for high school. “CV” and moderate mileage doesn’t transfer to pro running.

I have believed for a while that Hunter needs to move to 10k and the roads. He does not have the biomechanics to run anywhere near 3:30, or to close a 5k at 53
