Dathan has made it clear that he doesn’t want overlap between athletes from the same country in the same events. The team already has US 1500 to 10,000m runners on both sides. That certainly narrows the pool of athletes that Dathan would accept on the team. If you’re from Australia or New Zealand, you’ll be funneled to OAC “Down Unda” as Mottram and On are looking to get expand that group. If you’re European, there is OAC Europe. Dathan’s group is already pretty big as it is. They recently hired an assistant coach. I doubt Dathan is going to recruit people to his team unless they’re exceptionally talented and don’t overlap with his current athletes.

Unless exceptionally talented? Then what was the excuse for bringing in Andrews and Hurta? Lots more talent out there than that

OAC Melbourne is basically anyone they can get, and so far that's nobody. Latest additions are Ed Trippas, and Zach Facioni.
TUEs for unnecessary hypothyroid drugs and inhalers. No drop in health or fitness, just suddenly a fake diagnosis.
Microdosing testosterone gel and steroid pills. Using an in-house lab to monitor their levels so 0 positive tests. Using a morally corrupt doctor. The less intelligent members of the group let a lot slip.
Klecker, Hurta, Monson, Hoare, Romo, Falland. The inner circle. The less important ones like Carmela and Carlos aren’t worth risk. Salazar playbook.

Lol their reputation is not going down hill. It's just a bunch of jealous losers on here who keep trying to start the rumor and have no basis.
Just because you’re just a fan and not in the loop doesn’t mean they’re unsubstantiated. They’re cheating and elites know this.
Tell us what’s going on since you’re so obviously in the loop. I think they’re doping just like every other pro group but I’m not going to pretend I know anything specific.

Hurta runs 1:57-high last year and 1:58.0 — talent is not the problem there. She is also of course married to a team member and local.
I'd agree on Andrews being a weird pick (overlap with Monson, and had plateaued/gone downhill), but the top US prospects who you'd stay patient on and go for are Valby (always injured —> staying in school and likely going to Nike) and Tuohy (staying in school —> likely going to adidas). Do think Maia Ramsden is someone they should have major interest in as having an easy road to global champs, young (21) though maybe OAC Oceania has dibs.
