UCLA will always be terrible at distance.

The guy poured his heart into his coaching. L&L spoke highly of him. He got the best out of his athletes.

He was willing to suffer public humiliation with that recent Rise video going public, to make a point to his athletes that he was going out on a limb, so they could understand the urgency and believe in doing some special.

They must have just sprung it on him at the last minute because quite recently he was excited about setting up altitude camp. They left him and the athletes in a lurch.
