Is it normal to have 14 people in one 800 heat?

Women's 800 had a lot of people capable of breaking 2 but no one did it because it was so crowded with 14 people... there were people in lane 3 trying to get position. Way too much for an 800

So happy to see Sammy Watson get the win and a PB! Hopefully she can keep up this momentum and get under 2 next time

Original schedule called for a B heat w/5 women . . . but was merged w/A heat.

Watching runner finish out in lane 4 was . . . unusual.

However, a 2:00.60 pr for Sammy Watson . . . took her something like 6 years to break her old pr from high school.

Looks like Ribich watched too many Pre videos last night; He went to the front, was all out by lap 2, tripped up half the field, and finished last.

Nice night for Isaiah Harris, breaking 1:45 for the first time in over two years (1:44.85). 50.38 first lap probably a bit faster than optimal. Would love to see him break his PR from 2018 (1:44.42) this summer.
