Chris Froome has been having a very public spat with his boss Sylvan Adams who has been paying him reportedly north of $3 million Euros for the past 3 years in a 5 year contract. Everyone that followed cycling a few years back saw that Froome was a dud and it was absolutely stupid of Adams to have offered Froome one of the highest paying contracts in cycling when he couldn't even stay with the peloton any more.
Only now has Sylvan Adams realized he got hosed and Chris Froome is STILL saying he is at the top of his game and can compete at the Tour de France and is pissed that Adams left him off the team. How stupid and deluded can these two be?
“Chris isn’t a symbol, he isn’t a PR tool, he’s supposed to be our leader at the Tour de France and he’s not even here, so no, I couldn’t say he’s value for money.” Adams noted he’d brought Froome to the team to be a GC leader, and yet Froome wasn’t even capable of hunting stages. “If he wants to come here and hunt for stages he has got to displace one of these guys here and frankly he didn’t earn his spot.” Yikes.
