German town taken this season by storm. No one will be close. Spash might give them some trouble

Jack Wanezek seems like a honest to god hard worker that knows how get it done. He’ll carry g-town to their first state title
I LOVE this prediction. A nice underdog story is always amazing to see!!
Germantown is one to look out for. Lots of guys returning that have experience and know how to put their heads down and put in the work. They’re losing Walker, but returning everyone else. Spash should tread lightly.
Doesn't SPASH return their top 5 from a State Record setting team? Can't see them losing to anyone, much less Germantown. LOL
Most overrated team this season is Madison West without doubt. Most of their top guys will peak in the middle of the season again - just like track 2023. They’ll run great at griak. That’s it. Only guy to watch out for is Culp. Solid runner who could have a huge breakout season. Definitely a contender for top 10 at state.
You’re delusional if you think German town isn’t the top contender this year. Spash’s double threshold won’t be enough to stop the G-town train. Bode Erickson is gunna get injured early on in the season and spash will just fall apart from there
Gtown is cooking up something special this year, they’ve been at it for some years now and this is the year they put it all together
Another guy I think who could compete with Culp and Putz is Salzaman. He ran well in the 2-mile at Palentine and barely lost to Dil-hole but unfortunately could never find his stride in the mile or 1600. I think he could run an amazing 5k with his 3200 strength. definitely a top 5 contender at state. I think he gets 3rd to Putz & Culp.
So Onalaska has a solid top 3 ( Putz, Burnstad (4:20 1600), White (9:59 3200)).
After that it’s a big drop-off.
They also have Symons (10:25 3200 / 4:37 1600).
He’s a soccer player in the fall though.
Is he planning to do xc this year by any chance?
If so, he will be an excellent #4, and the team will just need a #5.
I heard manny is still getting over Achilles tendinitis after dunking over that 6’8” guy. Helluva an athlete.
Hudson is another team to watch.
They return:
Haverly - 16:24 - 12
Lawrence - 16:25 - 12
Bjerke - 16:29 - 12
Eilerson - 17:27 / 9:46 / 4:26 - 12
T Ruedebusch - 17:00 - 12
Waterman - 17:01 / 10:41 - 11
J Ruedebusch - 17:02 / 10:35 - 11
So they have a great top 4 (Haverly/Lawrence/Bjerke/Eilerson)
If they can close the 4-5 gap they could be really good
Oconomowoc lost a couple of guys but they still are looking to be really good:
J Sayles - 16:19 / 1:57 - 12
Faith - 16:25 / 4:28 - 12
Vizcarra - 16:44 / 4:39 - 12
Lennington - 16:48 / 4:33 - 11
Belus - 17:05 / 9:57 - 12
O Sayles - 17:20 - 10
Middleton lost most of their varsity but they still return some good enough for this team to potentially return to state.
Whiteis - 16:11 5k / 9:24 3200 - 12
Dalton - 17:13 5k - 12
Johnson - 17:15 5k - 11
Schulz - 17:28 5k - 11
Tang - 4:44 in the Wisco Mile - 9
Winklemann - 17:36 5k / 10:27 3200 / 4:43 1600 - 11
Sanchez Cortes - 17:40 5k - 12
M Wagener - incoming senior. Ran a 17:41 as a freshman / 17:36 as a sophomore. Not the best junior season, but we will see if he bounces back as a senior to help the team
Whiteis and Winklemanm were the only returners on their top 7 last year, and Wagener was in their top 7 in 2020 and 2021
Wagener is washed. No chance he makes their varsity

Ok well even without him, Middleton boys team still has enough depth to go to state again
Manny Putz is ranked 27th nationally on TullyRunners.
Grady Lenn is on the “Some Top Freshmen of Interest from the 2022 XC Season” list
Very unlikely. Will Wheitis could make it as individual, but I doubt their team could pull it off. They’re losing too many contributing seniors. They don’t have the guys to pick up the slack. Guess they’ll live with the fact that they can’t keep up their petty streak of making it to state.

Germantown returns:
Redeker - 16:48 5k
Verstrate - 9:51 3200
Wanezek- 4:37 1600 / 16:59 5k
Olson - 10:22 / 17:47 5k
Cascio- 10:39 / 17:11 5k
Walsh - 17:23 5k
That’s good but not good enough to win state (best SPASH).
Making state from their section would be considered an accomplishment.
They also have Bennett Krause who ran a 2:00 800. But he is a soccer player in the fall. Will he be doing XC this year by any chance?
I heard word around the street is that Will Whiteis PEDs. Kids kinda sketchy
