Ridiculously tough runner and talented artist. I’ve been dropped by this guy on many workouts. Hopefully he can come back from this stronger than ever

I once watched Landon take a break from running for three months, gain 20 lbs, train for three weeks, and close down a 15 mile long run in 5:10. It didn’t make sense

I was told ahead of meeting Landon for the first time that he had a rat tail. It wasn’t a good one, but I appreciated the effort.

this was ten years ago, for all I know he’s got a good one now.

Landon rocked me in a couple PA area road races about 4-5 years ago and I remember him being a real nice guy. Happy to support here and really wishing him the best in his treatment.

So much talent. I remember the first time we met, he joined my training partner and I for 4 x 2k with 400m jog recovery. We were in pretty good shape (for us) and were churning them out close to 5:00 pace. I didn't know who Landon was at the time. He said this was his first workout of the year (it was November) and he was hanging with us every step of the way. In a couple weeks time, he was absolutely handing it to us, ripping a 4:38 last mile on a road workout. I didn't know whether to be inspired or demoralized.

I got to know him in HS XC, including Foot Locker stuff, and I will always remember his quiet sense of humor -- especially when, with a wry grin on his face, he nearly convinced me people call him by his nickname "Drew". If you don't understand this joke, just keep thinking about it - you will get there eventually! It took me a while...

He is an extremely tough guy who will win this battle.

I knew him a little bit. He worked at the Pacers Running Store at Pentagon City, VA and I believe he fitted me for a shoe. I remember asking his 5K time, and he said 13:42, and this was 2013ish so not a lot of collegians were doing that and I was like "holy crap"

Indiana had dusted the Badgers at the Wisconsin Adidas Invite earlier in the season and it was expected to be a 50/50 race for the team title.

Landon once claimed he fought off a wild pack of family dogs while running in northern Michigan. I still don't believe it.
